How much does it cost?

Free CV Analysis shows your score and main areas for improvement. A Detailed CV Report costs R100 once-off and includes specific recommendations. A Full CV Rewrite costs R200 once-off and includes an AI-assisted rewrite plus PDF and Word downloads. Adding a job specification does not cost extra.

We accept payments through PayFast, which supports major South African payment methods including credit/debit cards and instant EFT.

Your FixMyCV ATS Readiness Score assesses how well your CV is structured and written for automated recruitment screening and recruiter review. It is a 0–100 proprietary assessment — not a score from a specific employer or ATS platform such as Workday, Pnet, or SAP.

What does the Strong readiness band mean?

Strong means your CV is well structured and clearly presents the information recruitment systems and recruiters need to interpret it effectively. It is not a guarantee that you will be shortlisted or that any specific employer's system will rank you above other candidates.

What file formats do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept PDF and Word documents (.pdf, .doc, .docx). For best results, we recommend uploading a PDF version of your CV.

How long does the analysis take?

Free CV Analysis usually completes in just a few moments. Detailed CV Reports and Full CV Rewrites may take a little longer depending on the length and complexity of your CV, but you'll be on your way shortly.

What does the Full CV Rewrite include?

Accepted Answer

Full CV Rewrite costs R200 once-off. AI assists with rewriting your summary and experience, clarifying your skills, and applying a professional template. The rewrite is automated unless you ask our team for human help. You receive PDF and Word files. If you add a job specification, we can tailor the CV to the role without adding experience or qualifications you did not provide.

Can I edit my CV after the Full CV Rewrite?

Yes! After the Full CV Rewrite, you can use our built-in CV editor to make any final adjustments before downloading. This gives you full control over the final result.

What if I have a job specification?

Accepted Answer

You can add a job specification whether you already have a CV or are building one from scratch. We’ll use it to assess or tailor your CV for that role. We do not store your job specification.

I don't have a CV yet — can I still use FixMyCV?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose “I don't have a CV yet”, optionally add a job specification, then build your CV section by section in the editor. Free Role Fit Analysis is for people who already have a CV; on the create path, Tailor CV to job specification (R200) is the main paid way to align your draft to a role.

Is my CV data safe?

Your uploaded CV is processed for the service you request and is not permanently stored for Free CV Analysis. If you buy a Full CV Rewrite, we may keep a private download link for 30 days so you can recover your file. We may retain information such as your email address where necessary to provide support or complete your request. We do not sell or rent your CV. Do you store my job specification?

No. We use your job specification only while you are working on your CV. It is cleared when you close the tab or start again.

Do you use my CV to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. Your CV data is used solely to generate your analysis or rewrite. We do not use customer CVs to train or improve our AI models.

Who can see my CV?

Your CV is processed automatically for the service you request. No human reviews your CV unless you specifically contact us with a technical issue and provide consent, or you ask our team for human assistance.

Yes! FixMyCV ZA is built for the South African job market. We focus on local CV conventions and common ATS and formatting problems South African applicants face. We do not run every employer's ATS.

Currently, our service is optimised for English-language CVs, which is the standard for most corporate applications in South Africa. We may add support for other languages in the future.
